Review

Dante Moretti is a monstrous mafia boss, a walking red flag of danger. As I delved deeper into his world, I wanted to slap him for the countless mistakes he made with Kat. He's possessive, enigmatic, and lethal, ticking all the boxes of the quintessential mafia anti-hero, and then some.


But here's the thing—I couldn't bring myself to hate him. In the end, I loved him. He was a complex character who invoked a rollercoaster of emotions, ranging from anger to empathy. Dante's possessiveness, his sizzling charisma, and his undeniable allure make him a magnetic character who demands your attention.


Kat's story is a heartbreaking one. She was a nurse who enjoyed her profession until a nightmarish evening changed everything. Kidnapped, tortured, and subjected to unimaginable horrors for days, all because of her brother. Kat is a spitfire with a kind heart, and her brother exploits her kindness, manipulating her into enabling his constant misdeeds.


It's her brother's actions that lead Kat into Dante's path. Dante arrives to collect a debt owed by Kat's brother, who, as usual, has vanished, leaving Kat to clean up his mess. With no money or valuable assets to offer, Dante simply takes her, thrusting her into his dangerous world.


This story is a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with unexpected twists and turns. The pacing is brisk, ensuring there's never a dull moment. One of my favorite moments was when Dante insisted Kat wear his shirts to bed instead of an ex-boyfriend's. Dante's intensity and the palpable chemistry between him and Kat from the very beginning make for an enthralling read.


This is my first experience with Sadie Kincaid's writing, and I can proudly say that I didn't regret a single page. I devoured this book in a day and a half, unable to put it down. The mafia energy, the protectiveness, and the smoldering passion between Dante and Kat were simply electrifying. I'm eagerly anticipating the stories of the other Moretti siblings.

If you're a fan of mafia romance with intense passion, complex characters, and a magnetic anti-hero, "Dante" is a must-read. It's a story that'll keep you up at night, your heart racing, and your emotions in turmoil. 🔥💔
